I don't know if you guys noticed, well most of you did because Ms. Walters announced it on Monday morning(if your in C of C math), but we are already 6 weeks through school! I can't believe it! It seemed like yesterday was only like the first week of school! Now that I think about it though we've already learned so many things in school. I don't know about you, but I've had two science tests(one being the safety test), two social studies quizzes going on three on Monday, one quiz and one test in Math(C of C), one Spanish project and one Spanish quiz, about three health tests, and a whole month of bottle rockets. We've even done MAP testing too! I don't even know how I remembered all those tests! I also still can't believe that the Washington D.C. trip is next weekend. I forget if any of you guys are going, but I just can't wait! When Mr. Nasshan explained the trip last year I thought it would be so much longer 'till we were going, but now it's right around the corner! I also can't wait 'till the weekend after that because I'm going to Great America Fright Fest with some friends for my birthday party! I've been on like every roller coaster/major ride there(even "X-Flight"). My favorite roller coaster is still Raging Bull! Any ways I still can't believe that half the trimester is already over and soon it's going to be time for us to graduate! I think this is going to be a really fun school year despite all the tests, homework, and studying we're going to be doing!
On Monday it wasn't a good day for me. It started off with a normal, tiring, Monday, school morning. Then after school I had to go to dance for two hours. We spent the entire class reviewing things because people weren't there the past week and so we had to catch them up. Another two boring hours of my day was wasted. Then right when class got out at 6:00pm it started to rain. Lucky for me I had to ride my bike home! I went around the corner to unlock my bike at the bike rack and it wouldn't open. I tried again three more times and then it finally opened! By then it was pouring out and the Thor guard had just rung. It was great biking weather! I got on my bike and started riding home. Later, when I got home I was soaked and dripping wet. I thought this day couldn't get any worse, but it did because I still had tons of homework to do. When I finished my homework it was 11:00 at night. I had to miss one of my favorite shows that was on that night to do homework.(The Voice). Then I remembered I had to wake up early the next day to go to orchestra. I had to go to orchestra on my 13th birthday! All I was hoping for that night, when I went to bed, was to have a better next day. Thankfully on Tuesday it wasn't nearly as bad as Monday! I even got to have my favorite type of birthday cake. It was mint-oreo ice cream cake form dairy queen. This weekend I'm gonna be dog sitting for my neighbors because they're going to one of their friend's lake house in Michigan. This is my first time dog sitting so I'm a little bit nervous, but also excited at the same time. They have two dogs one's a chihuahua and I think the other one is a mixed terrier, but I'm not sure. Today after school my sister and I went over to her house and she told us how much food both get, when to feed them, how much exercise they need, etc. She also gave us the house key and made sure we were able to lock the doors correctly and a bunch of other things. The chihuahua's name Guy, but is pronounced Gee and the terrier's name is Drewsilla. Drewsilla really likes me, but sometimes Guy can be crabby since he is very old and is almost totally blind. I feel bad for him because over the years his eye sight has gotten worse and now he bumps into walls a lot. My neighbor is paying my sister and I a total of $25. I think it's a lot since were only dog sitting them for about one and a half days. I can't wait to start dog sitting tomorrow. I'm so excited! Wish me luck!
On Saturday I went to the roller rink "Orbit" with my new neighbors. They just moved in about 3 months ago and have a son that's about 6 months younger than my little sister Annalise. When we arrived, there were people rollerblading every where even people who were waiting in line to get food, at the mini food court, had roller blades on. We sat down on a bench and started putting on our roller blades. Once everyone was ready we headed onto the actual roller rink. People of all ages were skating, some were even doing tricks in the middle of the rank like hand stands and standing on one leg. We just skated around the middle in a circle like everybody else did. At first I was a little wobbly, but after a while I was skating faster than everyone in my family,my neighbors, and most of the other people there. I even was able to roller skate with one leg up and when bending down so you're really close to the ground. on the other hand my little sister and my neighbor Vince were having a pretty hard time rollerblading since their only 7 and have never roller bladed before. Overall we had a fun time rollerblading and just getting to know them better. Maybe sometime in the future we will do this again when they actually know how to roller blade! |
