Over the weekend my little sister went to a birthday party and brought home a small balloon kit. We opened it up and started experimenting with different shapes and twists. Finally I was able to make a dog or a poodle with the large bump on the head as you can see in the picture above. Next we were blowing up another balloon when suddenly we would blow it up half way and then it would all deflate again. We found out that it had a hole on the end of the balloon. So, I came up with an idea to cut that end off, since the hole was close to the end, and tie it with a knot. I then proceeded to blow the balloon up again and it worked. The funny thing was it blew itself up the opposite direction. It started at the end and blew its way up towards the pumper. I made sure to tie the second knot all the way at the end so that the balloon would have room for twisting and shaping. We also found out later that a bunch of the other balloons had holes in them too, so we did the same thing. It was probably a really cheep kit, but it made sense since it was given out at an eight year old party. Later that day I was also experimenting with another balloon and made a swan like bird. The only thing was that the neck wouldn't stay curved so that's why my hand is on the top of the swans in the pictures below. I made two of them one was a bit better than the other. Any ways I thought it was a fun craft to do especially for my little sisters.
This weekend I got an iPod touch 4th generation. My dad got it for only 30 dollars, but that's because it's used. Any ways it still works perfectly fine and looks almost brand new. The first thing I found out when I got it was that it had imessage. I quickly set it up so that I could message all my friends that have iPhones, which is basically all of them. I was so happy when I found out that it was all free as long as I had wireless connection Which means I'd have to be at home or at a McDonald's or some other place that has free wifi. I also downloaded tons of free games like flow. When I got flow I started playing the first few levels and they were really easy so I decided to try the Jumbo pack. I went straight to level 30. I opened it up and it looked impossible, but I went ahead and started it anyways. Finally after only about five minutes I beat the level. It turned out not to be that hard besides the fact that each of the dots are so tiny that it is really hard to touch the right ones when they are so close together. Anyways I'm so glad that I got an iPod touch. Yesterday I went to great america's fright fest with some of my friends for my 13th birthday party. When we arrived it was raining, but most of the roller coasters were still working. We made are way around to the big drop, raging bull, x-flight, and many more. Later around lunch time the rain finally started to stop and we went on like all the other major rides they had there. Luckily since it had been raining there weren't too many people at the park. Therefore we were able to go on all of the roller coasters like 3 times because the lines were like only 15 minutes long. Finally around four o'clock the people dressed like monsters started to comes out. They were actually really scary and would try to chase you. The first time we saw them they actually started to chase us and all of us took off running. As the day went on Jenny and I weren't as afraid any more and we would just walk up and say hi, while our other two friends wouldn't go near them(especially the clowns who were extra freaky). The thing is if your scared of them they will chase you, but if you're not then they won't. One of my friends wanted to take a picture with this demon like guy, but he wouldn't take a picture with her. She got pretty mad that he wouldn't take a picture with her, but got over it later on. At the end of the day we were all exhausted from walking around all day and from going on so many roller coasters and rides. My friends also said that they didn't want to come to fright fest again because the monsters were so scary and they also would sneak up on you and then scream right in you ear, which would scare the heck out of most of us. Over all it was really fun going on all the rides and experiencing fright fest! American EagleClown Over the weekend I got this weird video from one of my cousins in Canada. You know how people are always telling you not to give 100%, but 101%. Well this video proves how to give it your all. It shows you in a mathematical way (at least they say, to me it's not very mathematical) of thinking how to. Below I will post the video link. You can watch it if you like. If you do watch it you can skip to 43 seconds. That's where the part that I'm talking about starts. STOP READING NOW if you want to watch the video. If you don't want to watch the video, the video basically numbers each letter of the alphabet starting with A as 1, B as 2 C as 3, and so on. Then it spells out the word "Hard Work" and if you add the numbers of all the letters in hard work together it makes 98. So 98%. Then it spells the word "Knowledge" and it adds up to be 96%. Next it spells attitude and it equals 100%. Lastly is spells"Love of God" and it ends up being 101%. So basically the video is telling you that even though hard work and knowledge will get you close, and attitude will get you there, your love of god will get you over the top. This is just an interesting thought, I thought I would share with you.
