Winter break is going by so fast! I can't believe were already about halfway through! Christmas went so fast for me this year, it seemed like the day just whizzed through. Any ways today is already New Year's Eve! I can't believe that tomorrow will be the start of a whole new year. 8th grade really is flying by so fast. By the time we get back to school you will realize that half of our school year has already gone by. When I wrote about my six weeks through school blog it seemed like we still had a very long time until we were going to go to high school, but now it really does seem so close. I can't wait 'till tomorrow Tomorrow is going to be a start to a new and fresh year. I can't wait 'till 2013! What I can wait for is Winter Break. I never want it to end, but eventually it will, but I hope that at least for winter break the days go by slower.
I can't wait till Christmas, it's almost here! Only about 1 more day! Christmas is one of the holidays that I love, even if it means waking up at like six in the morning. See, since I have little sisters they always wake everybody up at like six to open presents and to see if Santa came. I don't mind that much though because when I was younger I probably used to do the same thing. I've already bought so many of my gifts, from bike helmets to Starbucks cards. I wonder what gifts people are going to give me. I don't really want a specific gift except for well money, I guess. Anyways I still can't believe that Christmas is only like a day away. I also can't believe that it's already winter break. We have two weeks of no school and no homework! Except for taking photos for photography, ugh, but that's not that bad. It's also so weird that next time I'm going to see you guys is next year, since the world didn't end. So, Merry Christmas to all of you and a Happy New Year!
As you can see in my picture above I want it to snow. It's already December but yet it hasn't really snowed a lot. I know it has snowed a very tiny bit, but not like a bunch. The first day of winter is this Friday so it should be snowing soon. I think this year they said has been one of the longest gap of days inbetween two winters that we haven't had any snow. I know that some people don't like snow because it's cold and stuff, but i really like it. I also really want it to snow because I need something to take pictures of. Since, I'm not going anywhere over winter break I have to pick a different topic to shoot about for photography. I want to do nature, since it would look cool with all the snow, but if it doesn't snow I can't really take any interesting pictures about nature. I also love White Christmases and we didn't get to have one last year. That's why I just hope it snows!
If you haven't heard about it yet, Friday there was a shooting in an elementary school. About 18 children died. It was so sad. Not only 18 children died that day but, also 18 futures, 18 dreams, 18 possible world changes, and 18 kids who weren't making it home that day. All because of one sick minded man. I just want to make a shout out to all those families who have lost their loved ones, that we are praying for them. May all of them rest in peace.
This weekend my family went to one of my moms' friend's house to celebrate an early christmas. We do this every year alternating which house we go to. So this year it was at theirs. When we got there we sat down and ate tacos for dinner and other stuff. Later when it for dark out my siblings and the rest of us, besides our parents, went outside. We decided to play this game like tag except you have to hide in the beginning and if you get found then you run until they tag you, so pretty much hide amd seek tag, I guess, except in the dark. We ran around outside for a couple hours and when we came back in my hands were so cold i couldn't even feel them and they were all red. After we came back in to cool down we decided to open our mini presents. When we finished opening presents we went back to the kitchen to have some fried ice cream. Well close to fried ice cream(if you took fun with facs it's like the one we made). Finally we decided to play wipe out 3 on their wii. It was a new game they got so none of us had ever played it before. It ended up being really fun. We played on teams and free for all. I actually wasn't that bad. The games got pretty intense after a while because we were getting better and 'cause we're all really competitive. Eventually we had to leave, but I had a really great time there. I'm glad that we have family traditions to celebrate christmas with them every year!
Over the summer they came out with this new ice breaker candy called DUO ice breakers. This is a two sided flavor candy as you can tell by the name "DUO". So basically these ice breakers come in two flavors strawberry and mint or raspberry and mint. These ice breakers are like a regular mint except the other side of the mint is a flavored side like strawberry or raspberry. I've tried both flavors and they're really good. It's like having two different flavored candies in your mouth at the same time. At first you would think this would taste weird, since mint and a fruity flavor don't always seem to go together. That's what I thought at least, but this new ice breaker candy actually ended up tasting really good. I f you haven't tried this before I suggest that you go out and buy yourself a pack because they are really good! |
