This weekend I helped out for the hair and makeup at the Roosevelt V-show along with others such as Linnea. It was really fun. The first day I did the actual makeup on all the little kids. There was this one group where their braids stuck straight out and it was really cool. Then today I did the hair spray for everybody. Doing the hairspray was really fun. Some of the boys wanred mohawks so we used the gel we had and made mohawks. After doing the hairspray my hands were full of different colors especially pink. Over all it was really fun helping out at the v-show. Also while I was there I bouhgt a Roosevelt v-show tshirt since my sisters picture was on it. She's a fifth grader so they had a drawing contest to see whos picture would be put on the tshirts and directory and so my sister won. So that picture is of my sister's degsigned v-show shirt.

I can't wait until spring break! It's less than three weeks away and I'm sooooo excited because I'm going to France and Germany! I think this is like the only vacation where my family is gonna be gone the whole entire week plus a couple days, since were leaving the Friday night that we get off of school and coming back the Sunday before school starts. It's funny how the flights are though, since in Europe they're like half a day ahead of us when we fly there we leave at night and get there the next morning, but when we fly back to the US we leave at like two in the afternoon in Germany and get back at about there o'clock in the afternoon here as if the flight was only an hour long. In reality the flight's gonna be like eight hours. I already have so many things I want to see when I go there. For instance I really want to go see the Eiffel tower when we're in Paris, well I think everybody who visits France will want to see it. When I'm in Germany I really want to try/get some of their original gummy bears. My private violin teacher went there for conferences, I think last year, and brought back each of his students a small pack of Germany's original gummy bears and they were AMAZING. They were so tiny, but tasted so good. Spring break please come sooner!(: Ok so this weekend my friends and I went to the mall to celebrate my friend jenny's birthday. We got to the mall at lik 11:30am and stayed there till lik 9pm. We went to about every store in the mall I think. By the way we went to Woodfield so yeah when I meant we went to every store we like literally went to a million stores. We also went back and forth from store to store and like back again. It was very exhausting and by the end of the day my legs were so sore. Anyways while we were there we went to a store called A'gaci. I had never been there before, but Jennifer's cousin used to work there, so we decided to take a look after all we were going to every store in the mall as I said earlier. They ended up having really cool clothes there. Anyways I had a really awesome day at the mall with my friends and my legs are still very sore.
I've always liked homemade food so much better than store bought food. So tonight for some reason I really wanted to make brownies. So i took out our family recipe for brownies and started taking out all the ingredients and mixing them all together. I then baked it in the oven for the right time and voila fresh brownies. They smelled so good when I took them out. That's also what I really like about homemade food fresh out of the oven, it always fill the whole room up with the smell. Just like sometimes when you microwave a bag of popcorn and people from all over the house can smell it. Anyways I couldn't really think of anything to blog about this week so yeah, basically I made some really good brownies and they were delicious! This weekend I'm going to a dance convention that is downtown Chicago. It's called Tremaine as you can see in my title. At this dance convention you get to be taught different styles of dance by famous choreographers that worked with Lady GaGa and Brittney Spears and people like that. One of the Hip Hop teachers was also on "So You Think You Can Dance". Anyways this convention is two days Saturday and Sunday and I can't wait to go. This Sunday is also Chinese New Year. So basically i used to take Chinese when I was younger and then I quit but my sisters still take class at this school and every year they have a celebration The only problem is that it's the same Sunday as Tremaine so I have to rush over there right after the convention is finished. So tonight I'm stuck doing all my homework, but I can't wait until tomorrow. By the way this year is the year of the snake if anyone knows about the Chinese zodiac calender...... Well i'm not really much of a football fan, but i thought i'd blog about it anyways. Today is the 47th superbowl. I don't really care who wins, but the two teams in the superbowl are the ravens and the fourtyniners. It's so funny that those are the two teams since the coaches for both the teams happen to be brothers. A ton of people have already interviewed their parents to see which team they are rooting for, of course neither of them took sides because after all they are their parents. So far the ravens are winning 21-3 but who knows it's only half time so they still have another half of the game to play. I can't wait to see who wins! But for right now i'll have to wait and watch Beyonce. By the way she's really good.
Tomorrow is Monday. What I hate about Mondays is that it is the first day back to school after the weekend. Over the weekend, I usually get to sleep in but, on school days I have to wake up really early. Which makes it really hard to wake up on Monday mornings. Mondays are also not the most fun days I think because sometimes we just review what we did the Friday before in case we had forgotten over the weekend. Or for Math class it's actually harder because we have to move on to a new lesson and often times we don't get to review what we learned the week before and sometimes I forget what we had learned. So for me Mondays are not my favorite days of the week but, without Mondays weeks just wouldn't be the same. Even though a Monday might not be as fun as a Friday or Saturday, I think Mondays are still here to stay.
So, today I was really bored because we had school off today 'cause of Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday. Since I already had to wake up for an eye doctor appointment today I couldn't go back to sleep. So I was digging through my closet of stuff and I found a beading kit that I had gotten a while ago. I opened it up and decided to bead. Since I've already made a ton of bracelets and stuff from before I decided to try something new. Inside the kit I found some wire, beads of course, hooks and a tiny piece of paper just showing you how to twist the wire to make different things. So I decided to try to make earrings. After a lot of twisting and bending I finally came out with a pair of decent earrings. In the picture the color isn't that nice, but it's actually a very nice shade of like a mossy, emerald green. Anyways that was my crafty activity for this weekend. I still can't believe that I made a pair of actual earrings that you can actually wear!!!! I guess it kind of comes in my genes, since my aunt is really good at making earrings. Never mind she technically is only related through marriage, but still. Below I posted a picture of a pair of earrings my aunt made for me. Hers are amazing! Anyways at least i can make a pair, I'm so proud of myself!
As you all know we are all back in school again. It has been two weeks only and it already seems like winter break was so long ago. So far school has been pretty boring,no offense to the teachers. There have been some good things about coming back to school though. In plastics I finally finished my ballerina project which took me like forever. I also got to develop my negatives in photography and see how all my pictures turned out. I was so nervous the first day we got back because I had to go first to develop my negatives and I was afraid I would do something wrong and have to reshoot everything. It was such a nervewracking hour. Lucky for me all my pictures were fine and I didn't have to reshoot. I felt bad for some of the people who did though especially if they had went somewhere awesome for vacation. Anyways I still cant believe that we still have like 2 months of school until spring break. I can't wait 'till spring break because I'm actually going somewhere. I am going to France and Germany!! It's going to be so fun, but for now im going to have to sit through 2 long months of school.(Below is a picture of my finished ballerina project. Srry the hands are kind of weird because i couldn't cut out the fingers because they were too tiny.)
Winter break is going by so fast! I can't believe were already about halfway through! Christmas went so fast for me this year, it seemed like the day just whizzed through. Any ways today is already New Year's Eve! I can't believe that tomorrow will be the start of a whole new year. 8th grade really is flying by so fast. By the time we get back to school you will realize that half of our school year has already gone by. When I wrote about my six weeks through school blog it seemed like we still had a very long time until we were going to go to high school, but now it really does seem so close. I can't wait 'till tomorrow Tomorrow is going to be a start to a new and fresh year. I can't wait 'till 2013! What I can wait for is Winter Break. I never want it to end, but eventually it will, but I hope that at least for winter break the days go by slower.
