These are the cake pops that I made. I made them with my friend Olivia today because she got me a cake pop maker for my birthday. Liv is very crafty, and so she thought of the idea of making a box for the cake pops so we could stand them up. It took FOREVER to make them (considering that we had to make two batches because we forgot to grease the pan on the first batch and they ended up breaking in half) and then we had to let them cool, frost them, put sprinkles on them and make the box so that they could stand up (sort of). After we had frosted every single cake pop and set them in the box, Liv thought that it would be the appropriate time to tell me that she doesn't like frosting. Or cake. Then when we were washing the dishes, she offered to wash them for me because "I'm a really good cleaner!". I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to let other people do my chores, so I said sure. I walk out of the room for ONE SECOND and when I come back, there is cake mix all over the sink and water all over the floor. She looked at me and said "I'm not really a good cleaner. I just wanted to wear the rubber gloves." I probably should have been mad, but I find it really hard to get mad at her. So we cleaned up and decided to make a video. Because those are the kinds of things that pathetic people do with their time. So why not? The video was a music video to the song California Girls by Katy Perry. It ended up looking really cool in the end, but I have a feeling (because this happens with all of the videos we make) that next week we will watch the video and wonder why we spent 6 hours of our life on it. Yes, six whole hours. For a three minute and 56 second long song. It's not like we had anything else to do. We put on summer dresses, bright red lipstick, and sunglasses and we laid beach towels on the floor of my basement and covered them with sea shells. In the rap, Liv was Snoop Dog, which is really funny because she's really small. in the end we had a pretty great, typical, pathetic Saturday. But I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way.

If it makes you feel any better, I once pulled an all-nighter with my friend and we built a very wobble surprisingly large house out of popsicle sticks...
