Even though I am not going to D.C I still want to enjoy my weekend homework free. So I finished my Spanish on the bus and thought "Hmm now I only have to blog, let's do it as soon as I get home", so here we go. I am kind of wondering if I should have gone to D.C or not. I know it was expensive and I do want a new computer for Christmas so I guess this was smart. I would also be thankful if anyone could tell me the exact price of the trip. So to make up for the absence of real politicians you can hear my thoughts on the Gold Standard (Officially just on hold, but has been in such state for over forty years). I think that we should bring it back because this way we would have an international currency, so almost all of the world would balance out with surplus' and deficits. This could be very bad though because of course we were accused of not having the gold to back up what we were saying we had and we just happened to put a hold on it then, so I guess not. Well there is a brief blurb of my political side.

You realize that doesn't make me want to help, but it was a system used where the whole world used us dollars and they had gold stored in the us treasury, but when governments demanded they got their gold and didn't they accused the U.S of not having the gold when Nixon put the gold standard on hold, which is still going on.
