So this would be my costume. I know, it's lame. But I'm wearing a superman shirt, a red bandanna, shorts, high red socks and uggs.

So I'm really bored. And I have quite a few things to share. I can't wait for Halloween! I'm going to a party this year, and not trick or treating. That makes me feel kinda grown up, I guess. But it should be fun, and I surely will post pictures! I'm being Spiderman, purely for the reason that when I asked my brother what I should be, he said Spiderman. When I was little, I got bit by a spider and I asked him if then I could be spiderman...I was a pretty cute kid. :) speaking of cute kids, I saw this picture and it was just way too adorable not to share. She just looks so happy, and the shirt is too cute and I can't get over it. Also, I want your guys opinion on something! Dimple piercings. Yes or no? Dimple piercings are simply two piercings on symmetrical sides of the face that are injected where dimples are supposed to be, and when removed and the scars heal the person who recieved the piercing is supposed to have dimples.
This blog will be sortof a copy of Lizzie's. So recently, some really scary and painful things have been happening. My very close friends mom, who is like a second mom to me, was diagnosed with breast cancer. We are doing our best to be strong for her, but things are getting rough. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Music has been there for me when no one else has. Through all of this, I've had my iPod with me, I'm Gonna Love You Through It on replay. The reason I fell I love with country music is that it's always telling a story. Don't get me wrong. I love other music too. The white stripes and awolnation are my favorites. But country...there's something so inexplainably mesmerizing about it. There's love songs, sad songs, upbeat songs, motivational songs and songs to get you through anything. Music is more than noise, it's a comfort to numb everything. So during this hard time, country music will be my savior. All I need is some Blake shelton and things will be alright. But Lizzie, if you're reading this, I respect the fact that you don't like country. I don't like dub step. Everyone's different. HALLOWEEN SOON GUYS. I'm being Jamie Andries. I'll attach a picture of her. She is my inspiration, I love her and she is how I see Barbie. So that's exciting. We also have Swedish relatives comin to stay with us so that should be really cool! We usually have 2 people come a year and we get to show them America. It makes me happy how their eyes light up just from being at the sears tower or going to American places.
You might ask why it's almost midnight and I'm still up. Well Taylor swifts new album just came out! It was supposed to come out at 12 but for some reason it's already out! I'm in the process of listening to it right now and it's just really amazing. I really love all of the songs. There's a certain maturity that's developing in Taylor's music that is really exciting. She's growing up and were growing up with her. Second. I like rap and I like it a lot. Pretty much anything works for me, I am accepting of any type of music, it's all welcome here. So my favorite rapper right now is a guy called Aer. His music is slightly explicit, so if you aren't into that don't go looking him up. But due to homecoming, I was unable to attend his concert. It isnt even funny how upset I am about this. I miss almost every good concert that comes to Chicago. :(
So this weekend after all the crazy, happy and somewhat painful homecoming events, I decided to head out to Ikea with my friend Erin. We were both a little upset for a few reasons, but we knew jumping on the beds and playing with all the furniture would cheer us up. I PLAYED HIDE AND GO SEEK IN IKEA. It was probably one of the funniest days ever. I was hiding first, and it took my friend about half an hour to find me. This happened for about 6 hours. Except for a short lunch break it was a great day. Just one more thing for this blog post: OF MONSTERS AND MEN. My brother woke me up at 6 am on Saturday, carried me to the car and wouldn't tell me where we were going. Turns out we arrived at the box office and we got tickets to see of monsters and men! I love that band so much and I love Marshall for buying me tickets. :)
Well this weekend is homecoming! Our high school homecoming already passed, but I do cheerleading for the town football team and I love it. This is a picture of my team and my second family. I spend at least 10 hours a week with these girls and I love them all so much. <3 We get to go out to get pizza for dinner on Friday night and then we get to teepee the football players' houses. Last year, I got to teepee 10 houses and it was so much fun. The actual homecoming game is on Saturday night and in that game we give our parents roses and the cheerleaders receive roses from the football players. It's a cute and fun thing to do and I'm really excited. In a couple of weeks, we have our first competition in the morning and our second competition that night. We don't get to go to nationals this year and I'm pretty bummed about that but we do get to go to state (if we qualify by winning first place at one of our competitions) which should be fun. So yeah, these girls and this team are pretty much my life. Secondly, I need to go on a rant. Tattoos and piercings are the subject of this one. I think they look really cool. I definitely want to get a couple more piercings and I definitely want a couple tattoos. I'd like to get "All in all is all we are" across the top of my neck. It's a quote from the Nirvana song All Apologies. I also want a double piercing. But people are taking these things WAY too far. If any of you have never seen these, they are called surface piercings. (see second picture) While these are on the wrists, you can get them anywhere including neck, back, stomach, wrists, legs and sometimes even eyelids. This is disgusting. There is a fine line between socially acceptable and just flat out ridiculous and this is flat out ridiculous. What compels someone to wake up and pierce their wrists? I am usually accepting of things like this but I am not okay with surface piercings. That is all. Just look at this picture for a moment. Read it. Think about it. Think about how maybe the people that could do the most for this world are doing something else or can't afford to save the world. What if the person who has to most potential to be the best neurosurgeon in the country is working at a McDonald's because no one believed in them? This one will be short, but it definitely needed to be shared. Lucy, I am beating you to this. I LOVE HUGS WITH A BURNING PASSION I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THEY'RE SO AMAZING AND WARM AND CUDDLY AND THEY MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER.
For those of you who don't know, tswizzle is another name for Taylor swift. I've never been super obsessed with her music, because it was just never my style. I tend to listen to alternative while she is country pop. Well, let me just say her new album is AMAZING. I really didn't like we are never ever getting back together but this song is amazing. I preordered the album on iTunes, that's how much faith I have in this song that the next ones will be just as great. Taylor also wrote a song recently called Ronan, and it's about a little boy that passed away from cancer. There's not many songs that can bring me to tears. Gravity by Sara Bareilles and Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls but this song has just been added to the list. It is so sad. So if you like Taylor swift, check out her new music. You won't be disappointed. P.s. I just did one whole blog about only one thing. Accomplishment!
This weekend, I tried yoga. My mom sort of guilted me into it, but I've been stressed lately so I decided I would go. Yoga is NOT relaxing. I honestly have the worst balance in the world, I'm not a calm person, it just didn't work. I kept falling over and laughing and I could tell that yoga was just not the thing for me. I don't think I'll be trying that again soon. Secondly, the nfl has been disappointing me lately. I love watching football. I can't play it for my life, but it's pretty intense to watch and much better than yoga. But yesterday, I sat down to watch some good Sunday night football and the saints and chargers were playing. I hate them both. The nfl needs to definitely put better teams against each other. And that's all I have to say.
