As I lay in my bed at 8:57 on this fine Tuesday night, I reflect on my day. One of my recent goals is for my bicycle mileage to be over 50 miles a week and this is my first week attempting that. So that's exciting. I give myself a thousand reasons to keep going when I'm riding my bike but at the end of the day, I feel good about myself when I'm riding. And I like how I feel because as a teenager there's so much I can't control and on a bike, it's all up to me. Where I go, how fast I go and when to stop. Biking is when I really know who I am. My ultimate goal is to be an Olympic racer, but it's okay if I don't reach that. It's important to find something you love and do it every single day because what is life worth if we don't love what we do. I think I finally found my niche and I'm quite content with it. Over the next summer, (summer 2014) I am going to ask my dad if he would like to bike across the country with me because obviously I can't go alone. I think that would be the most amazing thing. It would be seeing the America no one really talks about. The little towns off the highway full of people who aren't looking to take anything from you. I want to see that. I want to explore. I need to explore, actually. So that's all for today. I love biking.
