Let me start off by saying this. I am beyond obsessed with hockey. I could go on for hours and hours about how much I love and live it and how I could sit there and just watch for hours. Other than cheerleading, it's the only sport I really love. There's just nothing about it not to love. So naturally, it would break my heart when I find out that the NHL is in lockout. Basically, this means that the league is arguing about how much they should be paid and other issues. It also means that there is a fair chance that there might not be a hockey season this year. I can't express in words how upset that would make me. Going to the Blackhawks games are some of my earliest and best memories. It always made me happy and it still does. It's not going to be a fun time for anyone around me if I don't get to see those hockey games. What happens when the sport you've grown up playing and loving just isn't there anymore? I'm sure it doesn't mean a lot to a few of you, but I love hockey and I thought this needed to be shared.

And that's why the sport I love is cross country, because there's no league to be locked out and I can run whenever I want!

I love to watch hockey too! I'm so mad that the Blackhawks aren't going to play either. What's with all the strikes recently?
