One of the people I love most in the world and someone who has definitely made me the person I am today is my oldest brother, Marshall. He's 17 and soon to graduate high school and be off to start his life. I have never been a great writer, but I can put words on paper and make them sound like I know what I'm doing. My brother has always been a fabulous writer, and when I was about ten or so he started showing me the stories he wrote and I remember hoping that that ran in the family, because the kid is talented. I have never quite lived up to his standards, but I don't think I ever will. One of the things I liked most about his style of writing is that he feels it extremely impersonable to write on a computer versus pen and paper. It enhances his stories when they are written in his handwriting, while it may not be great I love seeing the little ways he writes his letters, and I love that about anything that's handwritten. Maybe that's why I like writing so much.

I love writing with paper and pencil. It makes it feel so personal and so original.

I think that's great. I love sending letters and writing with pen and paper. There is great stationary, cool stamps, wax seals... you can make them so personal.

I do love writing letters and stuff just for fun, but when I'm writing a story the ideas seem to fly in and out of my head so fast I can't write them by hand because my wrists start to hurt (I don't want carpal tunnel!!). I'm a pretty fast typer so I find it easier to work out stories and get every idea down before it's gone on a computer :)
