Recently, I've been lamenting on the commonly overlooked music of the past. A lot of the time, people listen to just modern music(pop, and rap, and all of that.) I just don't understand. I think pop and rap are mainly based on a lot of jumbled up love stories made with a whole bunch of cliche lyrics and situations. No. That's not what good music is! If you look back at older bands like The Beatles and Pink Floyd, you really see how unique and cool music can be. I mean look at the song "Wish you were here" in comparison to "What makes you beautiful." There is no comparing. I think One Direction really doesn't have great song writing talent, while Pink Floyd uses great unique lyrics, with metaphors, and everything like that.(Even though it is shorter than a lot of modern day pop songs, it has way more of a point.)
What I guess I am trying to say is that you guys should all go listen to some quality music from the past, and maybe some Alternative! Haha I know if Fionna reads this she will totally agree. :) Well go listen to something other than Thrift Shop people!! :) give your ears a break.
