This week for Spring Break, my family and I went to Austin, Texas. We rented a nice little house out in the country. Except out in the country in Texas is in the middle of a bunch of trees on big hills. Sadly, my sister couldn't come because she needed to stay home for school. The first day, we got to the house around six or six thirty. We didn't know what to do, so we went grocery shopping at the nearest Whole Foods. Being the teenage girl I am, I decided to look nice for grocery shopping. We didn't do much else that night. The next day we went into downtown Austin to explore. We walked along the river and through a park. Then we went down to the SoCo area. That's short for South Congress. Congress was the street where this area was located. We sat down to eat and I had the best burger I have ever eaten. It had meat (of course), cheese, onion, pickles, bacon, and bar-b-que sauce on it. It felt like I was eating heaven. Then we walked around. There were so many amazing stores and shops. I wanted to buy everything. My friend Maggie was also in Austin, so our moms talked and we decided to meet. It was so much fun. Maggie, her sister and I all walked around and shopped for a few hours. We went to a boot store, but these weren't just boots. This was a store with a thousand cowboy boots. Some pairs cost over $1,500. I don't know anyone who would pay that much for a pair of boots. I bought a pair, but they aren't very cowboy like. They have more of a combat boot style. We got some ice cream at Amy's Ice Cream, then me and Maggie parted our separate ways. On Monday, my family went zip lining. It was absolutely amazing. I felt so free and I felt like I was on top of the world. There were 5 total zip lines in the course, plus some hiking. One of the zip lines was over a half mile long, and it is the longest in Texas. It is also the 9th longest in the world. Then we went to a place called Oasis. We ate dinner and dessert there. The restaurant is built on a huge hill and looks over beautiful scenery. I watched a sunset that I will never experience again. It was absolutely stunning. On Tuesday we went to San Antonio for a day. We took a boat on the Riverwalk If you don't know what that is, it almost looks like Italy with a river going through an area with a bunch of restaurants. At the end was a very large mall we later shopped in. We also saw and went into the Alamo. It was so interesting to learn all about the history. On Wednesday, we had a relaxing day. We went to an outdoor mall area and I got the shoes I wore for the Easter church service and out to brunch. We went to an amazing sub shop. Then we got frozen yogurt and went home. On Thursday, we went to Sea World in San Antonio. It was a little chilly, so we didn't go on any water rides. It was cloudy all day and it even was spitting rain for a while. There were not many people there. We went on all the roller coasters and we saw three shows. We also saw dolphins, sharks, penguins, and puffins. It was so much fun! On Friday, we went back to the SoCo area and shopped a little more. Then we went to this awesome place for dinner. It's called the Broken Spoke. It was a stereotypical Texas honky tonk. First, we ate dinner(I had a chicken friend steak, voted best in town), and then came the fun part. We payed for dance lessons and then just dancing for fun. In the dance lesson, there were so many people. It was in a place that looked like a bar, and there were many neon signs. It was so old western looking. Lucky for me, I got to dance with my little brother. We learned how to dance the Two-Step. They put music on and we just kept dancing. Then after the lesson, we just danced with everyone else to the music. I danced with my dad, and it was too much fun! I wish I could do it again. Unfortunately, we had to leave on Saturday. Austin was absolutely incredible and I wish I could do the whole trip over again.

I wish you could hear me, but I know that you can't. Your were the best dog a little girl like me could grow up with. I can't remember life without you. I can't imagine life without you. I have amazing memories of you. Memories that will never fade away from my head. You think it would be weird to sit next to an animal that is no longer with you. But it wasn't. I watched you take your very last breath. It was painful to put my head on your side and not hear you breathing or even a heartbeat. Even when you were gone, I rubbed your stomach and your ears until it was time for you to be taken away. Life is going to be very different now. We couldn't watch you struggle everyday anymore. I'm so glad the last words you hear were mine. I whispered "I love you" into your ear right before you left us. Your were my best friend. You were my beloved animal. You were mine. That's something that can't be taken away. You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you Tassie <3
Recently,I've been drawing much more than usual. It's not a bad thing because I love drawing. I've been finding pictures on google and drawing them myself, trying to exactly copy the picture. Sometime, it doesn't work out. Other times, it tirns out way better than I expected and I even surprise myself. I like to draw things that people wouldn't usually draw. My drawings are sometimes a little darker, and I don't mean the color. The drawings I drew this week were more fantasy. I drew a sad fairy and dark angel. Personally, I think they turned out pretty good. I'll post pictures of them and I would appreciate to hear your feedback! I want to know what other people think of my drawings. I'll be posting more pictures now because I got the Weebly app on my iPod! Anyway, here are my drawings.
Please tell me what you think! I'd love to hear your opinions! Goodbye until my next blog!
I was inspired my Emily's blog to do a list of things that make me happy. Here it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!

As some of you may know, over the summer I went to Space Camp. I didn't go just because it sounded cool (well, maybe that's part of the reason). I went because I have a genuine interest in the Universe. There's something about our Universe that has intrigued me for as far back as I can remember. Growing up, I loved looking through telescopes and researching the most mysterious things about our Universe. The size of the Universe absolutely boggles my mind. Think about this: the Big Bang happened billions of years ago. Ever since then, our Universe has been ever expanding. Everything in the Universe (all planets, stars, galaxies, etc.) have also been moving outward at a constant, but very fast, pace. Another thing that is quite amazing is the size of the stars, even some of our closest neighbors. Take a look at this amazing image. Click on the picture to see a bigger version. These sizes are very hard for my mind to process. To think that these stars actually exist in our Universe. The following picture shows the Eagle Nebula, also known as The Pillars of Creation. These may not look very big, but they are bigger than your mind can imagine. Everyday, millions of stars are born in this giant cloud of multicolored dust. Each purple speck of light is a Supernova, or the birth of a new star. Each of the following pictures show different parts of space, and keep in mind, all of these are real photographs. It is incredible how amazing our Universe is and how spectacular everything inside it looks. There's just something about our Universe that I can't explain, but it makes me so interested in it. It's almost a passion of mine. I could learn about space everyday for the rest of my life and I would be perfectly content with my life.
Yesterday I went to the mall with my family. My dad wanted to buy some new clothes with the gift cards he got for his birthday. I however was there to dress shop. I needed to buy dresses for a few events that I have coming up. I don't want to re-wear any of the dresses, so I bought a few. Last night I bought a total of three dresses. There was another dress I wanted to buy but the mall was closing and we needed to leave. I love all the dresses I bought but, today my mom went out to get the other dress I wanted so badly. She came home with three dresses and said she found a few others that I might like. Now I have six dresses and I don't know which ones to wear! They are all very beautiful and I want to wear them all. I have some time before I need to decide though. Hopefully, I will have decided by the time I need to wear one. Each dress is different and unique. That makes it very hard to choose. My sister and my mom will have to help me decide. These decisions you just can't make on your own!
This weekend was not very entertaining, except for Sunday night. Sunday, I had three people over to my house, two of which are my close friends and one I didn't really know. We all went to my basement, hooked up an amp, and jammed out. Fionna couldn't play because she jammed her finger, but the rest of us played for so long. Emerson played guitar and Michael played bass. I was rocking out on the drums. That's something a lot of people don't know about me. I play the drums. Anyway, we played a few different songs and had so much fun! One of the songs was Seven Nation Army, and another is called Sunshine of Your Love. We took recordings and we sounded pretty good for never playing together before! I can't wait until we keep practicing and maybe we will sound amazing next time!
It was very hard adjusting to the cold weather after being in Florida. When I came back, it felt really cold outside. It was in the thirties but because it was in the seventies in Florida, it felt extra cold. I had such a great time in Florida though. I was out late at night running around with all my teammates. I can't believe it's already over. On Monday, during the day, I went to the Magic Kingdom with a bunch of girls from my team. It was really warm and so much fun! Around 4, we went back to the hotel to get ready to leave. Our coaches weren't there yet,so we went to the beach. It was a small beach for a lake in the middle of the resort. The resort doesn't allow swimming in the lake though. When we first got to the beach, about 6 or 7 girls piled on one hammock. I went and found my own. Soon, one of the girls ran over and I thought she was going to flip me! All she did was lay down next to me because the other hammock was too crowded. Not long after, another girl ran over and this time I though she was going to lay down too. Of course, I was wrong again. She started pushing the hammock until both of us fell off! We ended up turning it into a game! One by one, we laid down on the hammock to have a few girls push us. We tried to stay on as long as we could. We kept flipping everyone into the sand! Some of the other girls flipped me into the sand too! While I was on the hammock, they pushed me so hard that I was almost upside down! I fell straight down, face first, into the sand. Luckily, it didn't hurt. The worst part is someone got it on camera! We were all wearing gym shoes and sweatpants, and we were covered in sand! I still have sand in my shoes from a week ago! We were all laughing so hard and right then, we all realized we could stay there and play forever. Surprisingly enough, I got a little tan while I was there. I usually don't tan much. Plus, we were inside most of the time. It was too soon until it was time to leave. It's amazing how fast we went from laughing on a sunny beach to shivering in the snowy wind. I will never forget the fun I had while in Florida with my team.
Right now I'm in Florida! I'm at the airport leaving soon! I had so much fun while I was here and I don't want to come home! We stayed at a Disney Resort for 5 days! The weather is so nice and I don't want to go to Chicago because it's going to be so much colder! I can't wait to see my friends again! I'll see everyone when I get home! Goodbye Florida!
This will be very short, but I'm leaving for Nationals very soon! It's only 3;00 a.m., but I'm wide awake and ready to go! Goodbye Chicago, Hello Florida! <3
