Yesterday was a very eventful day. My brother is in his school chorus and yesterday they did a little competition called "Music in the Parks". Early in the morning , he left to go sing with his chorus. Luckily, I didn't have to get up as early as him. I woke up around 8:15 and started to get ready. Once it was time to go, I went to go pick up my friend Alison. It was a long car ride, but finally we arrived at Six Flags Great America. We were there about 45 minutes before the park opened, so we waited and waited. Soon, I regretted not wearing a heavier jacket. It was very cold outside. Alison saw somebody she knew in line, and we talked to him for awhile. It helped us forget about the long wait. Finally, the gates opened and we were let inside. The first thing we needed to do was to get our picture for our season passes. It took much shorter than we had expected. Then, we went on the Viper, our first ride of the day. It was so much fun. We slowly made our way around the park, but Alison was a little scared of some of the rides. She told me to make her go on the biggest rides. Luckily for me, she didn't need much persuading. She went on everything without me pushing her to ride. We stopped for lunch and we had pizza. I was surprised at how good the food tasted. Little by little, we rode every big ride in the park. While waiting in line for the Superman, it started to rain. Many people got out of line, but we stayed where we were. This caused the line to move up dramatically. Of course, not long after, there was ice falling from the sky. I don't want to say it was hail, because it was a mix of snow and hail. That only lasted a few minutes. Later, I bought a sweatshirt because I was absolutely freezing. I even started shaking a little. I saw a number of people I knew there, which was really fun. I had an amazing time and I hope I get to go back soon. When I got home, my mom and I watched the movie Safe Haven. I cannot express the feelings this movie gave me. I love this movie with everything I have. I think I have an unhealthy obsession. I need to watch this movie again sometime soon or I might just explode. This movie has been the only thing on my mind the past 24 hours. I will buy the DVD so I can watch it over and over and over as many times as I please. Seriously, you don't know the feeling I have inside while thinking of this movie. I could go on and on about Safe Haven, but in an attempt to keep your head from imploding, I will stop here and keep my feelings to myself.
