Ahhh... It's summer and 4th of July just came and went. My family did as we have the past couple of years and went to Franklin's house for a party before the fireworks on the third. Of course we also had to go back afterwords and blow of our own for a while! Even so this year was again successful in of the fact that we had no injures except one, on a sparkler of all things. Right after we shot some double ring missiles (My dad is great with trajectory and angles and almost hit the school...) a car pulled up a little down the street and kept its lights on. We decided it might be a good idea if we called it a wrap for the day and all went home. The next day was The 4th of July and we celebrated by visiting one of my sister's friend's house. it was slightly boring but they had an awesome piano in the basement and it was programmed with quite a few instruments. I spent almost an hour trying to get it to work and then spent another 1/2 hour playing it... Go figure. Anyway that is how I spent my 4th of July.

I love the fireworks! I think it's great that you have a tradition of seeing them with Franklin and his family! I'm afraid of fire, and the idea of setting fireworks off gives me the heebie-jeebies! Fortunately, there are tons of firefighters on my block. A few of them shoot off fireworks every year across the street on the school playground. They put on a seriously impressive show, which I can safely watch from my backyard.
