When you are a kid, you don't realize just how much a mom does. Instead, you notice how they embarrass you (like when they tell the mom of a boy you have a crush on that you have a crush on her son- yep, 5th grade seems like yesterday), or do things like wipe your face with their spit, and of course how they don't seem to understand you and fashion. Then you grow up, and in my case, become a mom. I admit it; I have wiped my children's faces clean with spit, but I will never reveal Frankie's crush or question why she's choosing to wear the black and grey snowflake leggings with a black and white floral skirt and a yellow top with a rose on it. There's still plenty of time for me to embarrass them; although, I will try not to. But moms put up with quite a bit. I endure finding clean clothes, still folded, in the hamper along with things that aren't laundry- books and toys. I find wet towels on their bedroom floor and forever seem to be picking up shoes, left right at the bottom of the stairs. I know that my toothbrush isn't really a sacred object to anyone but me. I have found it on the floor of the shower; I'm sure Luci is using it to wash his Matchbox cars, but I don't really want to know, so I will try to remain delusional. But what it all comes down to is moms love their kids and that's why we grow up and do the same things we said we'd never do, because we love our own children just as much.

That's so cute, and I must say as many times as my mom embarrasses me, and as much as I say I'm going to do certain things different, I know I'll probably grow up and do it all exactly the same :)
