Fiction or Non-fiction?

7/27/2012

I just can't decide, so I am going to take the input from my bloggers. There are a number of great books (the possible list includes but is not limited to: Frankenstein, Dracula, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Twelfth Night, Fast Food Nation, Night) that we will read this year along with a pluthora of creative and academic writing assignments. (I know, you can hardly wait!) I am torn between starting the year off with a fabulous fiction classic: Tale of Two Cities, or two exhilarating non-fiction adventures: Miracle in the Andes and Alive - which we will read in groups simultaneously, or one of my favorite sci-fi classics: Fahrenheit 451. And since I'm vexed about which of these three options to go with, I have decided to consider your input.

Leave a comment. Be sure to include your thoughts and reasons for your suggestions. I am confident we will get to all of these, but tell me what you'd like to start with!

I think Farenheit 451 sounds like a really good book. And yes I am looking forward to all of the assignments! .......

I was thinking about reading Farenheit 451 this summer and I agree with Emily; I think we should read that at the beginning of the year.
