First of all: I will post pictures of New York as soon as we get them loaded on the computer. Now I will officially start my blog.....
I LOVE Christmas!!!! I think I may love the Christmas season even better than Christmas day. I want to make sure that I am entirely mentally prepared for the season (which is coming up fast!!), so I've been blasting the Christmas music, adding to my detailed Christmas list, writing lists of what to get for my family and friends, stocking up on ingredients to bake some Christmas cookies and desserts, wearing cozy sweaters, drinking hot cocoa by the fire, lighting pine scented candles; the list goes on and on. And on. Unfortunately the rest of my family members are curmudgeons when it comes to the holidays (they claim there is too much time and work involved), so we wont put our Christmas tree up until a couple of weeks before the big day. Despite my family's groans, I insisted that we decorate this weekend, and I am not letting them refuse. I also picked out what our Christmas card is going to be this year. When we went to New York for the first time, we took a picture of my sister and I by a fountain in Central park, and we reenacted the picture when we went this year. I decided that for our Christmas card, we would put the two pictures next to each other and see how different they were in age. My mom thought this was a great idea, and agreed that we should use the pictures for our Christmas card. (I will post a picture of the two pictures next to each other as soon as they are loaded on to the computer.) So basically, I have appointed myself as the family's Christmas planner, since everyone else in my family has to be so.... anti-happiness.
