The last time I saw them was the summer before fifth grade when we took a vacation to Paris, and that was the first time I'd ever met them also. Even before that, Sylvie's other daughter, Camille, and her friend Vanessa came to stay with us. So we've kind of been going back and forth on who visits who (I hope that means we're going to Paris again next!). We want to show them Chicago, obviously. We'll take them to the Willis Tower (though I still like to call it the Sears Tower), the Museum of Science and Industry, we'll definitely shop with them, and take them to other spots in Chicago.
Unfortunately, there is only so much time one can spend in the city of Chicago before getting a little bit bored. So, for the second week of their visit, we're taking them to Nashville Tennessee to experience the country side of America. On the way to Tennessee, we're going to spend a night in Nashville, Indiana where Brown County is, along with the fastest, longest, and highest ziplines in Indiana. We are still trying to convince my mom of that one. We might also ride some horses there. When we get to Nashville, Tenessee I'm looking forward to buying a pair of cowboy boots, going to the Grand Ole Opery, and seeing other sights. This will be a first for me as well as the company; Tenessee is a state I've somehow never gotten around to visiting. So wish me luck! I only know around five words in French so thank goodness they speak English. I can only hope that this coming week goes smoothly, as I'm sure it will. If I'm too busy in the next two weeks to blog, then good bye for now! Or as the French say: revoir pour le moment! (You've gotta love Google Translate)
