Yesterday was my mom's birthday so we went downtown to dinner at Catch 35 where I had some delicious oysters and grouper, and then to a cupcake place called Sprinkles for dessert. Sprinkles is really famous, (there's a show about it on the Food Network) so I guess we should have expected that there would be a line out the door. But it was sooo worth it to wait the half hour in the chilly night air for those cupcakes. Mmmmm. Just thinking about them is making me drool. I got a milk chocolate cupcake and a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting, my sister got a chai tea cupcake and a cinnamon sugar cupcake, my dad got a milk chocolate cupcake and a carrot cake cupcake, and my mom got a dark chocolate cupcake and a brown sugar praline cupcake. We all agreed that they were the best cupcakes we'd ever tasted.
When we were waiting in line outside, there was an ATM. Pretty normal, right? Wrong. It was a cupcake ATM. So you could swipe your credit card, choose your cupcake, and out it would come through the slot. Instant heaven. I highly recommend going to Sprinkles one day, especially if you're a cupcake extroidanair like myself. You'll exit the shop with a smile on your face and a belly full of scrumptious cupcakes.
