I miss Christmas when I was little. I miss thinking that Santa delivered all of my presents. I miss looking forward to getting American girl doll clothes or doll houses for Christmas. Now Christmas is just knowing exactly what you're going to get because you asked your parents for it and some of your presents they bought with you standing right next to them. The day after Christmas used to be the day where we played with all of our toys. Now I just hang my new clothes up in my closet and watch TV for the rest of the day. Even New Years wasn't that fun. My parents went to sleep and 11:58. They didn't even want to wait two minutes. My birthday is tomorrow and my mom told me that she needed me to go with her to buy my present. Now that we're all older, we don't just don't care about holiday spirit, staying up and listening to the fireworks from the next door at 12:01 on January 1st, or keeping every Christmas and birthday present in a secret hiding spot so that it will be a complete surprise. I miss those days. So happy 2013 everyone. And with that I am going to go finish taking the Christmas decorations down, and with it, my holiday spirit.
