So this could possibly be my last blog. I know it's a tragedy. I'm pretty sure I will continue over the summer but who knows at this point! I just want to say that I've had the best year of my life with all of you guys. I mean look at us, we're heading off to high school! What if I never see any of you again!? I feel like we all got really close in these past three, and two years at Lincoln. We were in all the same core classes and we went through just about everything together. I mean who could forget Dave's funny jokes or Lizzie's and my beautiful singing voices. Or when Maura let it all out and chucked Diesel's pencil at the wall. It's been a lot of fun with you guys. I know you all get annoyed with me, and I understand why, haha, but seriously I love you all! I have made so many great memories and I have laughed harder than ever. Chris one day you will be the narrator to my life long story, as a movie. And Franklin please use your brains for good and not evil, because I'm pretty sure if you wanted to you could take over the world...so please don't. And Lizzie you are gonna go FARRR, like way beyond the stars, I just know it. So when you're famous for your songs and acting and you go on red carpets...please bring me with you and hook me up with your sexy co-stars. I'd love to name all of you but I just don't have the time, I'm sorry! I just want you all to know that I wouldn't trade these past few years for anything. And Mrs. DLP you have been the greatest L.A. teacher that I've ever had and I'm so scared to go into high school without you! You have helped me so much and your so chill it's honestly the funnest class of the day. Everybody please don't forget me when you're off doing awesome things and when you become super famous for who knows what, because I know that everyone here is gonna go far. Good luck in whatever you do! And I'll never forget any of you! Until I get in a car crash and have memory loss but until then you will be remembered!
When we were wokring on our ebooks in Mrs. DLP's office, and she mentioned that we shud all write a blog about how our parents met. So here's mine! So my parents, Cynthia and Glenn Olson, met all the way back in high school. Both of them actually went to Maine East right here in Park Ridge. Now they claim they didn't really know eachother in high school, but I have heard my mom used to admire his looks I don't know if that's true but the thought of that actually makes me puke a little bit. My mom wasn't familiar with my dad back in the 80s but she was friends with my dads older sister Barb. I guess they both were on the water ballet team at Maine East or synchronized swimming whatever it's called where they kick their legs in unison. So they lost touch but then Barb got married and invited my mom, Cynthia, to her wedding. My mom and dad "met" there. They were in the same grade so they knew of eachother but they never actually like talked it anything. They dated for SIX years. My mom said my dad was scared to get married so she told him she was going to buy a condo by herself and then he like freaked out and that sped things up. I think it's so weird that my parents went through all four years of high school in the same grade but never became friends or really even talked. It's weird to think like what if some random guy at Lincoln I'll marry some day it's just so weird. I guess fate didn't really work out in high school so it had to step in a couple years later. I'm just glad they finally met because without them I wouldn't be here, and all of your lives would be waaaayyyyy too normal.
Well today is Mother's Day. It comes and goes and honestly it's never anything special in my house because every single year, on Mother's Day, my mom flies out to Washington D.C. for work. Honestly every single Mother's Day! So we never really have time to do anything special. I also have a soccer tournament in Oakbrook every single Mother's Day weekend. The soccer moms don't like that too much. This year I think we did pretty good! Well besides our first game. The first game we played was against this really good team that came all the way from Michigan. We lost, but not by that much only 2. We won our second game and our third, placing 2nd in our pool. The rankings are so confusing I don't even know how that worked out.
This tournament tends to bring back some pretty nasty memories from 6th grade. Well back in the 6th my team attended this tournament and we were in the championship game. It was pretty intense. So there was this little pesky ginger(of course it all makes sense now! nothing against you Ned) was next to me and we both jumped up to attack to ball with our head, you know a header. Well she is quite the little IDIOT because she completely missed the ball and hit me with her head! What an idiot I hate her. How dumb could you be? Like honestly? Ugh thinking about this makes me so mad because usually I can just get her back in another play and/or run full speed at her knocking her down...but then I do run the risk of getting a yellow card, but I'm willing to take those risks. So she knocked me so hard I fell down and as I stood up blood was rushing down my face and I couldn't see out my left eye because it was filled with blood. Sorry this is gross. I looked around and someone told me to sit down and people around me looked as if they were about to puke or something. I did have the joy of riding in a golf cart! That was quite some fun! My dad insisted on taking me to Lutheran General so we drove from Oakbrook to Park Ridge. I got there and then this African woman marched in, she is really scary and really tough. She didn't give me Novocaine. Okay just so you completely understand this I did not receive ANY NOVOCAINE. So I got 20 stitches above my left eye and I think I can say that that was the most painful thing that I have ever gone through. I didn't cry during the stitches, I just winced...a lot. Man that was gross. Okay now you can go do whatever it was you were doing with that happy So today, Sunday May 5th is Greek Easter! Yay! I guess it's also Serbian Easter I think it's just all Orthodox Easter. Well Easter is a HUGE deal for the Greeks. It's bigger than Christmas basically. I don't know why but this Easter hasn't really felt like all the others. It's not the same. I think something has to do with the fact that my church just got a new priest....and no one likes him. He's so rude and just ugh I don't know I do not enjoy him. We usually go to a midnight service the night before but this year we didn't because of the priest. We did go to church Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night(yes Friday night) and Saturday morning. There are many more services that my mom went to but thank God I only had to go to these. It's a celebration today and my family is here. There is so much food I can't even believe it. I honestly just ate so much...I have such a bad stomach ache!:( I feel like I gained 20lbs in one day! I have to go shoot hoops and do some exercises to work off what I ate! Bye kids.
