Saturday started out fairly normal. I woke up, had breakfast and arranged to go out biking around noon with Colin. we biked to Chipotle for lunch and then we came back to my house to hang out. We messed around for a while but didn't know what to do. By this time it was almost time for diner and my mom was trying a new recipe (it was a pork loin cooked with plantains and apples) so we invited Colin to stay for diner. The food was HORRIBLE! Even my dad, who eats everything, went "nah, I don't think so". Then we were faced with a worse problem. Where to eat. We had to feed Colin, so we went out to eat. While we were there we saw Mrs. Porello and said hi. All in all, i don't think colin will be eating at our house for a while.
I think that Dave's blog about zombies was a bit scarce on the details and that the reason he didn't share our plan was because we have't finished it. I have also come up with some tips for these kind of situations and if you trust my judgement you an certainly use them for your own good. (Disclaimer: I shall not be responsible for any harm that comes to you from the advice you take.) Advice: 1) At the beginning of a zombie apocalypse, try not to use your car, as the roads will be crowded and it will be smart to conserve gas. The may be some unhealthy side affects for traveling on foot though. 2) If you plan to try and survive with friends, communicate with them via cell phone (at the beginning) as many people will be updating Facebook status to "undead", and the phone companys wont be overloaded with calls. 3) try to hole up in a place that is not a "Panic Zone"(areas that people will rush to such as the hospital or a large grocery store.) head to an area with smaller stores or stay at houses with canned goods for food.
Those are 3 easy steps that I can imagine will help you with your survival chances, and here are our plans (Some stuff can vary but most will probably stay the same) The people will be: Me (and family), Franklin (and family), Conor (and family), and Chris (and family) (more will be added if need be, but the plan was made with only these people.) In the event of an airborne virus, were all dead it wont matter. (same mostly applies for waterborne ones) but if the virus is passed on by biting or touch, our plan works fine. Plan: Wait out the initial panic. That will allow is to use the roads after everyone clears. (downside: most stores will be taken already.) we can then group up with lots of supplies (me and Conor have bows, I have 3 gas stations by my house, we all have large metal "weapons", and lots of canned goods) we then converge and caravan to a more business based area with less houses.(the archery shop would be nice, but that might be occupied, if not there is supplies there, lots of restaurants and food stores nearby and an army surplus store.) If not there American Science and Surplus would be nice but might also be a place for people to go. Anyway, we would settle down someplace and hopefully make it zombie proof. Once that happens we should probably look out for other survivors (remember, this isn't just for you) and help them. I think the rest would be more based on situation. Chris, our runner would be infinatly useful though. I am not sure if everybody here has the same problem, but before a large math test (midterms/finals) I go into panic mode. I feel as though I never study enough even if I do a couple hundred problems, and I still always get C's or below. I have no idea what I happen to be doing wrong, If anybody has suggestiona, please tell me.
I guess it is a little bit of my fault that I had so much math homework this weekend, but seriously, 11 problems = 2 hours. NOT GOOD. The reason I had so much was that we got some on Wendsday (Halloween) but it was due Friday. I got home on Wendsday and was immediately put to work on cleaning the house for the Halloween party. On Thursday I sat down to do my math, and got through 2/3 of it but I just couldn't figure out the last problem. So I went in early. I didn't finish then either. So I had it over the weekend just like the other 2 worksheets. And of course I forgot until Sunday. Am I smart or am I smart guys?
