I'm not even sure how many courses there were to the meal, but I didn't really eat any of them. First, a bowl of some sauce and a few raviolis was brought to us. This I didn't eat, because I didn't want to fill up too much before the chicken. Then a bowl of bread was passed around. It was warm, and I ate a lot of it. The butter melted right onto it, and It was very fresh. Then a salad of some sort was brought, and I couldn't really figure out what was in it, so I just ate the three raspberries that they put on top. They passed around a bowl of something that I think was cottage cheese.
Then came a little tiny glass of something that I was afraid to try, but when i did I was happy that it was lemon ice. I ate that. Finally, they brought the main course: chicken and a potato. That's more like it. But then i noticed that there was some sort of stuffing in the chicken. By then, I was starving, as it was about 8:00. I ate around the stuffing, and the chicken itself was very good. I had some potato, but it had spices and dressing on it, so i soon gave up. When my plate was taken away, another plate was put in front of me. It had a criss-cross of chocolate syrup on it, and in the middle, a tiny, delicate piece of cake.
There were multiple layers of the cake: chocolate cake, then chocolate filling with strawberries in it, then yellow cake, then more chocolate filling, and then more delicious chocolate cake. This I ate in it's entirety, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Each bite of chocolate-strawberry cake I swirled through the chocolate syrup before eating it. I was enjoying the cake, glad to have something that I liked, but it had soon completely disappeared from my plate. My empty plate was scooped up by the waiter, who brought tea later. The tea was good, and I was glad to have enjoyed every last morsel of the cake.
So, for dinner, I had bread, three raspberries, lemon ice, and cake. I took a few bites of the chicken, but not much. I did have a cup of tea. After that, we just kind of sat around and talked, and my cousin and I went around with our little cousins for a while. It was getting late, but I wasn't really getting tired. When we left, I looked at my phone, and it was about 11:45. I hadn't even noticed it was that late.
It was pouring rain outside, and we couldn't find the car. We searched for about ten minutes, and we were soaked to the skin. When we finally found the car, and we were pulling out of the lot, the little bar blocking the exit went up. Before we pulled out, I noticed something. On the little bar, there was a little yellow rectangle. I could barely read it in the dark and the rain, but it said "have a nice day." I thought about it, and thought what's the point of even having that? I wondered if anyone else ever even noticed it. Also, it was the middle of the night. Why would they say have a nice day in the middle of the night? I decided that if I ever had a hotel, I wouldn't put a "have a nice day" sign on the exit.
