Top 5 Vacations I've Been On
I don't honestly remember being on this vacation. I must have been 2 or 3, and I only remember one thing about it: I remember standing in a room - and I was standing, no one was holding me - so I was standing and looking out a window, a floor-to-ceiling window, and I was looking out into a baseball field. I also remember my mom carrying me around in a gift shop. That's probably my earliest memory ever.
2) Boston
I really don't remember anything about this, but it was probably cool!
3) Springfield
This is where I learned how to swim! We stayed in a hotel, and they had a pool. It was a nice pool, and I put my floaties on my arm, and swam back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth... and back and forth... until my mom suggested I try to take the floaties off. I did, and I practiced and practiced in the shallow end until I got it! Also, there was absolutely nothing to eat there - apparently, every restaurant in Springfield closes at 6:00!
3) Lake Geneva
I go to Lake Lawn Lodge in Lake Geneva every year, sometimes more than once a year. I absolutely love it, it's like a home away from home. I know every twist and turn in it's long hallways, and I could stay there all the time. I've been going there since I can remember; it seems like forever. There was a period of time where it seemed like it was not doing so well, and then it actually closed for a while. I was so sad, because I thought it was closed for good, but it opened again! :D
3) Milwaukee
My family goes here every year the weekend before school goes back. They have Irish Fest there (you might know or go to Summer Fest in Milwaukee; Irish Fest is on the same fest grounds). We stay at the Hyatt, and there is a waiter at the Hyatt restaurant that always serves us breakfast. He knows when we come every year, as we've been going there practically forever. We haven't been there for the last few years, because school went back earlier, before Irish Fest started the last few years.
Here's a bonus, because I feel like it:
4) Pleasant Prairie
There is a huge mall here, and we stay at the Raddison across the street. We shop shop shop, and when we're done, we go swimming. A couple days of this, once we've hit all the shops, we go home with our new goods and enjoy the fact that we got better than a hotel gift shop!
Yes, Springfield, Lake Geneva, and Milwaukee are tied for third. I kind of like Lake Geneva more, maybe a little bit, but I couldn't decide. So: I can't figure out how to end this blog so this blog is now done!
