So this weekend was so exciting! On Friday, my friend called and asked if I'd Come to the notre dame game with her, and I hadn't seen her in a couple months. So I went, it was an amazing night and I met some really cool people. Go nd! (the dons won, in case you were wondering.) So yesterday, I woke up and I had to go to a 3 hour stunt practice, which I'm still sore from. After that, I went to three different places to take homecoming pictures for two different homecomings. Neither of my brothers really go to dances, so this was really exciting. After that, the falcons kicked some Addison butt. Go prf! To top off the fun weekend, I'm going to a concert tonight. Hope you all had a great weekend too! :)
This post is going to be about a bunch of different topics, I have quite a bit to talk about. Firstly, my music listening habits. I never realized this was weird until my brother commented on it, but apparently the way I listen to music is unusual. I'll get really attached to a song, and listen to it literally 20 times over or until I just can't stand it anymore, and then I'll get attached to a new song. Right now I'm actually really hooked on two songs: Over You by Daughtry, and Not Cut Out by Katy McCallister. Both great songs. Secondly. REALLY UPSET THAT I DIDN'T GET TO SEE ED SHEERAN TONIGHT. I shouldn't complain, I'll be seeing Zac Brown on Sunday, but still. Ed Sheeran is a phenomenal sing/songwriter and he doesn't use auto tune. His concert would've been breathtaking and I'm so disappointed I didn't get to go. Thirdly, it felt like summer today. And yesterday. The thing about summer, is once it ends it must be completely over. If it's not, then on days like this in Autumn I get so nostalgic and sad that it's not summer anymore. Does anyone else feel like that? It happens every year. Fourth, and finally, I really love quotes. Those of you that know me better than others are VERY aware of this. If I like one and I feel it needs to be shared, I think I'll start posting them on here. So, one for today: "Everyone has a secret that would break your heart." To me, this means that you shouldn't assume someone's life is perfect. Sometimes the seemingly happiest people are the ones that are falling apart inside, and at home. So next time you're about to say something mean to someone, think twice. No one's life is easy.
Let me start off by saying this. I am beyond obsessed with hockey. I could go on for hours and hours about how much I love and live it and how I could sit there and just watch for hours. Other than cheerleading, it's the only sport I really love. There's just nothing about it not to love. So naturally, it would break my heart when I find out that the NHL is in lockout. Basically, this means that the league is arguing about how much they should be paid and other issues. It also means that there is a fair chance that there might not be a hockey season this year. I can't express in words how upset that would make me. Going to the Blackhawks games are some of my earliest and best memories. It always made me happy and it still does. It's not going to be a fun time for anyone around me if I don't get to see those hockey games. What happens when the sport you've grown up playing and loving just isn't there anymore? I'm sure it doesn't mean a lot to a few of you, but I love hockey and I thought this needed to be shared.
So basically, this will just be a mumble jumble of everything I have to say. Firstly, I am sorry to everyone who has listened to me go on and on about how excited I am for this, BUT I AM GOING TO THE ZAC BROWN BAND CONCERT. I've been to my fair share of concerts, and they have been wonderful experiences but come on. Zac Brown Band. It shall be joyous. Also, I've previously mentioned that I really love music of all kinds. This weekend, I watched a movie called Across The Universe, which is basically the story of all of the Beatles songs. Needless to say, the movie was amazing and perfect and I could go on and on and on. It's a great movie and you all should watch it. The soundtrack is also hands down the best covers I've ever heard of songs like Let it Be and Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds. Check it out if you like them, or if you don't. It's some quality music. I've also been on a reading kick lately. In this class we've been reading Fahrenheit 451 and one line really struck me. It was something about how every book had an author that spent weeks, maybe months making that story amazing. So after school that day, I headed down to the library and picked up some books. I tend to read romance novels, I just find them immersing. My most recent find is a book called Second Chance Summer. It's about a girl who spends a summer at her lakehouse, because her dad has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has only three months so her family wants to spend the summer together. It's a love story, so if you're into that, check it out. So on that note, have a
Happy Sunday! :) I'm a little tired, because I had a sleepover yesterday, and quite a monumental experience that was. I slept over at my friend Erin's house after we spent the day at a trampoline center. For those of you who don't know this about me, my mom is a nutritionist so I normally eat very healthy. I'd never really had Mountain Dew before, because it's very bad for you and my mom just didn't want me to have it. Erin and I were making pancakes at 2 in the morning, and she gave me one. IT WAS AMAZING. Granted, it's very bad for you and I won't be having another few for a while. But it's definitely a once in a while treat. I ended up finishing 3! I know this
So to start off, I would like to share this quote that was spoken to me by a great friend the other day. "There is seven billion people in this world. Why are you letting one ruin your day?" So just a message to you guys, keep your head up. That quote rings true. Now for the reason I'm blogging. I'm really into indie music, and I love undiscovered artists because a lot of them don't use auto tune, and have some really great raw talent. My friend recently introduced me to Late Nite Reading. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS BAND. They play some really great music, if you're into what they do. If you're looking for music, and you like rock, definitely check them out. Thirdly, make fun of me all you'd like, but I am extremely excited for Finding Nemo 3D. I am beyond ecstatic to be at that midnight premiere. So have a good day! :)
Well hello. It's about 8:20, and I have nothing to do. So I think I'll just talk about my everlasting hate for Pinterest, and my new found love for cream cheese and pretzels. First, Pinterest. I hate this blogging site for many reasons. Firstly, it's a knockoff of Tumblr. Now, I don't have a Tumblr, but I've certainly visited many other peoples' Tumblrs. Honestly, Pinterest is just trying to be Tumblr and it frustrates/bothers me so much. Secondly, Pinterest is also trying to be artsy. For real here, we all know that if you're going to be artsy, weheartit.com is where it's at. That's basically all I have to say about Pinterest. I hate it. On the other hand, I love pretzels and cream cheese. It's not often that we have cream cheese around the house, and I loved it when I was little, so I decided to use it as a dip for a snack. I had a craving for pretzels that day, so I picked them up as well. THIS IS SO GOOD! If you've never tried it, you really should. Also popcorn and hot chocolate.
Well hello there! I truly hope you're having a wonderful day, because I am. I've never blogged before, so this is a new thing and I'm excited! So let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm thirteen as of about three months, and my passion is biking. I also love cheerleading, music and gymnastics. Generally, I'm a pretty happy person. Pink Floyd, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Suns and The Dirty Heads are some of my absolute favorite artists, but there is many more. It's not often you find me without my headphones in my ears, all lost in my own little world. I truly believe that without love and passion, life is meaningless. My favorite quote is this: "They say you waste time asleep, but I'm just trying to dream." -Mac Miller. Basically, I'm just a kid trying to find my way in the world. I'm liking this blog, so I'll be around often. Smile at least once a day. :)
