Last week Me and my family went up to Wolf river for a camping trip. We weren't the only ones there though because we were the newest addition to a fairly large group that have been camping with each other for quite some time. The people there were Graham's family, his grandparents, some people we had never met before, and Chris' family came late on Saturday. We got there on Friday night at about 7:30 and were greeted by most everyone except for Chris and we helped set up camp (though it was mostly our camp). The "theme" of this year was the Olympics so there were multiple contests and medals were even awarded. We were Italy and we came away with 3 golds and a silver plus the highest gold count. Anyway all we did on the first night was have hot dogs for diner and sit around and do nothing. It was decided i would sleep in a tent with Graham instead of in the camper. One of the tent windows didn't have a cover. It was cold but we made it through... I don't think Graham even noticed the cold because he never woke up... Typical. The next morning I got up and took some pictures for photography. After everyone woke up the kids all headed down to the arcade to see what was up there. we din't spend much time there but instead messed around on the small playground outside. Once we got bored we headed back and found out that we were going to go tubing but first we were going to have the super soaker Olympic games. The first one was to knock a ping pong ball off a waterbootle. I won. YAY! The next event was to push a beach ball a distance with the water guns. I won that too. The third and final game with the guns was a fight were you had to disolve the other person's alka seltzer first. I won that too! That's how we got the 3 golds. Then we went to go rafting. We prepared and headed out by bus. once we got there we realized the water was lower than we thought. The trip started out by the group getting tied together (on purpose) and the getting close lined by a pillar we disconnected and met up on the other side. We floated through a large area of rocks and got stuck 2 more times before we made our way through. Later we had lunch and then me, my sister, and Graham disconnected and went through the rest of the river. and got stuck many more times. we also got to drag Graham over many rocks. The rest of the day was pretty boring until the evening when we watched the season premier of Dr. Who (after Chris arrived of course). The next day we went tubing again and Chris and his bro came while Graham stayed behind. It was fun and I accidently almost killed a fish, but I caught it with my hands. It's eyes were huge and it looked scary underwater. Other than that the tubing was kind of uneventful. We didn't do much the rest of the day except to visit the arcade again. One of the machines, which Graham had been farming prizes off, was broken so we tried some of the other games. One of them had a mp3 watch as the grand prize, and Graham really wanted it. After spending about $6 on it ($0.50 per play) he gave up (even though he was really close) because he ran out of money. as we were about to leave, Some kid came up and just won the watch first try. Graham was disappointed to say the least. That evening we had a great dinner of spaghetti and meatballs and watched some movies. Then we went to bed and packed up the next day. Overall, a great trip and i hope we do it again next year!

Watching tv while camping sort of makes it not qualify as camping.

Definitely not "roughing it" camping.
